HISTORY
Hello, I wanted to try to introduce myself to everyone, and tell y'all a little about myself, some background, and why I started Epitome Property Solutions.
My name is Nick McCune, and I'm the owner of the company. I'm 37 years old, I'm happily engaged to my beautiful fiancé, and I have a 16 year old son that is a junior in high school, and he will graduate Class of 2026. I'm a local, born and raised, in Johnson City, TN. I went to school at Sulphur Springs, Gray, Daniel Boone High School, and I graduated Class of 2005,from Jefferson County High School I have a pretty strong, and extensive career background. I've worked in, and around the construction industry for almost 20 years. I have knowledge of, and experience in several different Industry fields. My main career background would be in the Alarm/Security Industry. I've worked for more than 15 years in that industry. I started out at around 14-15 years old, helping my stepfather, who owned Brown Security Alarm Company, based out of Jefferson Coty,TN for over 40 years. Throughout the years I went to school for that trade, and earned my certifications and licenses needed to be an alarm technician, and install alarm systems for clients. There is a lot of liability, trust, knowledge, information, clearance, etc involved in order to be allowed to do do it. I went on to earn and receive my (NTS)-National Training School, & (NBFAA)- National Burgular Fire Alarm Association, Lvl-1 Licensed Alarm Technician Certification, then went on to earn my (ESA)Electonic Security Association & (NBFAA) Lvl-2 Advanced Alarm Technician/Engineer License. I ended up receiving a offer for a NDA, high clearance, government contract job, that I accepted. So I went to work for United States Federal Government, as an Certified & Licensed Alarm/Security Technician, installing several different types of systems, and equipment in Maximum & Medium Security Federal Prisons, CDC, & FEMA facilities, all over the United States. I've also worked for Century Fire Protection, as a steel pipe fitter, installing fire alarm/sprinkler systems, for about 4-5 years. I've worked construction for many years, I was a flooring, and tile installer for 5+ years. I also worked on couple different golf courses doing maintenance. Now I've been working for myself doing side jobs for 10+ years, and as of the beginning of 2025, I officially started my own property maintenance company, Epitome Property Solutions. Now I've got something to possibly hand over the company to my children, and the everyone be able to have a company they've known for years, and have come to trust. I hope that is us. I'm not looking to get rich, I'm just tired of making others rich, while I'm killing myself, eating scraps. Now as a local, and the Tri-Cities being my home, I look at the families around here, my community, as people that are close to me, and that I care about. We are all in this world together. Now as a customer myself, I truly understand the necessity of an honest, and trustworthy, handyman/property maintenance company, that can assist the home and business owners with the unwanted, but 100% absolutely necessary, upkeep tasks that you hate doing. The thing is your property is more than likely your most important investment, and probably the most expensive asset that you own!!!
So why take this lightly? Don't waste time. Routine and preventative maintenance is the most important thing for any property. Both summer, and winter months have their own maintenance tasks that are needed for the upkeep of a property. It's extremely vital to do the necessary cleaning and other maintenance tasks in order to maintain the structural integrity of your property, and improvements are the only way to put more equity in, or increase the value in any way to your most important asset.
